Chinese New Year Celebration
Each year, Westside Chinese School celebrates Chinese New Year with a lively PTA-
organized event that brings our community together while supporting the school. The
celebration includes student performances, a traditional lion dance, games, crafts,
raffles, silent auctions, and festive food for the whole family.

Event Schedule
9:00–10:20 AM – Student Performances (Click To View Schedule)
10:30–11:00 AM – Lion Dance
11:00–11:15 AM – Martial Arts Demonstration
10:00 AM–12:30 PM – Festival Activities & Food
Intermittent raffle drawings will be held throughout the event. You do not need to be present to win. Silent auction bidding ends at 12:00 PM. Winners will be contacted after the event.

100% of all proceeds go to our school for operating expenses
Since 1967, the Westside Chinese School has been a volunteer based educational institution open to all families with an interest in learning Chinese language, writing, and culture.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our Chinese New Year Festival is the primary fundraising event of the year. All proceeds go toteacher salaries, the rental of our Saturday campus, and tuition subsidization to keep our school affordable for all who would like to attend.
With an anticipated 500+ patrons, your message of support will reach a wide range of potential customers in Southern California, from Hollywood to Redondo Beach.
