CLSSC Welcomes New Partner

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, the Chinese Language School of Southern California (CLSSC) welcomed their new partner in adult learning, the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) with an Opening Ceremony.

CLSSC directors hosted honored guests of TCML, Grand View Boulevard Elementary School, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and the 36th Congressional District office of California. The morning began in the Grand View Elementary auditorium with performances from the West LA Chinese Children's Chorus.

Performances were followed by speeches from CLSSC Principal Hsiao and Taiwan Center Director Ching-Yi Wang with Grand View Boulevard Elementary School Principal Fletcher and words from Vice Chairman Ken Wu of the Taiwan Center of Greater Los Angeles and OCAC Minister Chia-Ching Hsu.

A proclamation was presented to CLSSC and the program by Ronald Reyes, a representative from U.S. Congressman Ted Lieu's office in the 36th District of California. The ceremony was followed by refreshments.


Special thanks to all volunteers; Ben Chen, Director of TECO of Los Angeles; and the West LA Chinese Children's Chorus with its Adult Division for their support of the event.
